The disc on this recycled sterling silver ring is made from a melted down dog tag, before personalizing. I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to stamping letters, so I have a lot of these dog tags that I made, stamped, and then didn't use because I "didn't like" them. I have them all set aside, and the other night I decided to melt one down. I melted it into a ball, then hammered it for quite a while, and stamped it with my name. Eco-friendly! It has a great texture. It's about 2mm thick and an irregular shape about 12mm wide. I soldered this disc onto a hammered silver ring I made.
I'll make you a ring the same way and stamp it with 1/16" letters or numbers - probably only 4 or 5 characters or spaces across will fit. Or two to three lowercase letters (they're a larger size)
For your own benefit please be sure about your ring size.
At the time of purchase, enter a "note to seller" to let me know what you'd like stamped on your ring, and what size you need! All raw stock for ring making is purchased from refiners who use and sell recycled metals.
